My glucose dropped to 35. I was very confused, felt very light headed. I went to fridge to get some juice and got confused couldn’t remember what I was there for, so before I passed out I got to living room, laid down, and pressed my button for Life Alert before I passed out. Last I heard was the call from Life Alert from the main big unit and then red phone. Was too far gone to respond. The ambulance and paramedics from fire department used my lock key to enter my house. They did EKG, and insulin to wake me up on my hand. Life Alert contacted my son and daughter and called my brother who lives close by. This is my 4th episode with low blood sugar. Thank God for Life Alert and the fire department – I owe my life to all! They told me I did what I was supposed to do. Have a key box on my door and second push Life Alert button. Thank you, Life Alert. My son got the unit for me because I live alone! Have a pacemaker/deliberator and have a machine that monitors my heart 24-7 so I’m well taken care of – so glad!!

My mother was home alone, I was at my doctor’s appointment. Mom was shaking and sick. She pushed her Life Alert button and was sent help immediately. You have a wonderful program and all elderly or sick ones should know about your prompt and courteous response in a matter of minutes.

While feeling extremely cold, my son realized I was quite hot. Heart attack seemed probable, so son pushed my button – the person at Life Alert was quickly responsive. What seemed like less than 10 minutes, an ambulance and several caring people whisked me off to the hospital. Apparently, a serious infection. A few days in the hospital, lots of antibiotics – and I’m home. Thank you!!

[Sister] fell, broke her hip and was unable to move. By pressing her Life Alert button she was able to obtain help and an ambulance. Life Alert also contacted her stepson who was able to notify the rest of the family of the situation. Before the ambulance left her house someone was already present to accompany her to the hospital. Thank you!!!

I tripped over the laundry cart as I was taking food into living room, and food flew all over carpet and I laid there. I called Life Alert and they helped me up and even cleaned up and asked if I wanted to go to ER. I said no, I signed a paper and they said if I changed my mind they would come back in 5 minutes. Very excellent manners and respectful.

My handicapped brother fell on his front porch and broke his hip. He was alone at the time and praise God he had Life Alert. He pressed the button and Life Alert responded immediately. They dispatched EMT’s to his apartment and he was taken to the hospital. He is recovering fine now after his surgery. Thank you so much. I would recommend Life Alert to all handicapped and elderly people who live alone or have to be left alone for any period of time. It does give a sense of security knowing that someone will respond right away. I cannot say thank you enough. I would hate to say how long my brother may have laid there before someone saw him and got help. Thank you!

Mother wore wrong (silky) nightgown and slipped out of bed upon rising. Caregiver could not get her back up. Life Alert has always been there for our family and we are very grateful.

7-27-18 Tues. I was awoken by sharp chest pains. I called for my son, told him what was happening. I then pushed my Life Alert button and was connected. The response was very quick, NYFD, NYPD and EMS all came. I was taken to the hospital where I got excellent treatment. Thank you, had stents put in.

I fell down three cement steps onto the cement garage floor. I was wearing my Life Alert pendant and apparently pushed the call button for help before I passed out. The emergency vehicle was there in a very short time.

My father collapsed here at home and Life Alert helped by getting an ambulance to the home ASAP. They also stayed on the unit phone with me to reassure that help was on the way, and calmed the very stressful situation the entire time my father was in distress.
